Owl phone case

 A few year ago I made a self-designed phone case. A great success, I can say. Several of these owl phone cases are sold in multiple colours.
 An enthusiastic purchaser, from a few years ago, approached me again to order kind of a similar case. What a great honor!
 After we discussed the colours, I had a lot of fun to make this classic owl phone case again. I was for sure a few years ago that I made the last owl phone case. I wish the purchaser as much as fun as with the previous!

Een aantal jaar geleden maakte ik een zelf ontworpen telefoonhoesje. Een groot succes, al zeg ik het zelf, meerdere hiervan zijn in diverse kleuren verkocht.
Een enthousiaste koopster van een aantal jaar gelden was haar hoesje kwijt geraakt en benaderde mij opnieuw om een soort gelijk hoesje te bestellen. Wat een eer!
Nadat we kleuren hadden afgestemd, heb ik met heel veel plezier deze klassieker die al een aantal jaar mee gaat, weer eens gehaakt. Ik heb er enorm veel plezier aan beleeft deze weer eens te haken. De koopster wens ik net zo veel plezier met dit hoesje toe als met de vorige!

Telefoonhoesje / Phone cover - Tutorial

Ooit had ben ik in een patroon de tunische haaksteek tegen gekomen. Ik vond het destijds zo leuk om eens een andere haak steek te doen, dat ik pas dacht "hé de tunische haaksteek, laat ik dat weer eens doen". Zo doende begon ik aan m'n nieuwe telefoonhoesje met drie kleuren. Juist het wisselen van de drie kleuren geeft het telefoonhoesje zo'n leuk effect!

Once I had a pattern with the tunisian crochet stitch. It´s so fun to do, because it is a totaly different stitch than you used to do. So I decided to make something with the tunisian crochet stitch again. I made this lovely phone cover in three colours. Especially the three colours give the phone cover such a nice effect.

 

Ook zo'n leuk hoesje maken?
1. Meet de breedte van je telefoon op. Is je telefoon 5cm breed, dan zet je een x aantal lossen op tot dat je 5 cm hebt. Het tunische haakwerk rekt namelijk niet echt mee.
2. Meet nu de lengte van je telefoon op. Is je telefoon 10cm lang, dan maak je een lap van 20cm bij 5 cm. Deze vouw je dubbel en werk haak je aan elkaar met vasten.
3. Hoe krijg je nou dat effect met die drie kleuren? Start met wit, zet lossen op en haal de lussen erdoor. Nu ga je over op oranje, met deze kleur haal je er door de witten lussen heen en zet je nieuwe lussen op. Nu ga je weer over op wit, haal de witte draad door de oranje lussen heen en zet daarna nieuwe lussen op. Nu is roze aan de beurt, haal deze kleur door de witte lussen heen en zet vervolgens roze lussen op. Vervolgens is wit weer aan de beurt etc. Je gaat dus continu met één kleur heen en weer (twee rijen).

Want to make such a nice phone cover as well?  I explain
1. Measure the width of your phone. If your phone is 5cm width, you'll make a chain of 5cm. 
2. Measure the length of you phone. If the length of your phone is 10cm, you'll make a piece of 5cm x 20cm. If it's finished you'll fold it and finish the edges with a single crochet.
3. How do you get the effect of the three colours? Well, you'll start with white and when you made the loops, you'll pull another colour (orange) through the loops and make new loops with orange. Now you pull the white yarn through the loops and make new white loops. Now you pull the pink yarn through the white loops and make new loops with pink. Now you'll use the white yarn again. Thus, you go back and forward with one colour and than start with the new one (two rows every colour).
