Strijkkralen - Hama beads

Dear readers!

Half a year ago I bought a huge tin of Hama beads, about 15.000 beads. I thought it wouldn't be a lot, but it is! By now the tin is still full for two-thirds, so now and than I grab my tin of beads and go design lovely simple designs. Some I've found on the internet (the cupcakes f.e.), others are designed by myself (like the bunny). This grey Monday (here in the Netherlands) is a perfect day to make lot's of colourful cards. I really love the simplicity of the white card, the text and the lovely colours of the Hama beads. Well, here are the results!

  

I hope I could inspire you to make such a lovely cards as well.

Meer strijkkralen/ More colourful beads

Ik ben echt helemaal weg van de strijkkralen. Het geeft zo'n gaaf resultaat en het is zo makkelijk en snel te maken. In mijn vorige post zagen jullie al mijn hert van strijkkralen. Guess what... Ik maakte er nog twee en lijstte ze in! Ik ben zo blij met het resultaat. Daarom wil ik jullie laten zien hoe trendy en gaaf dit kan staan in je interieur! Hopelijk heb ik jullie geïnspireerd om een soortgelijks te doen strijkkralen en je interieur een persoonlijk tintje te geven!

Verder maakte ik ook nog dit schattige kaartje om te feliciteren ter gelegenheid van de geboorte van hun zoon. Ik verving de bruine stippen van de giraffe door blauwe stippen omdat het een jongetje is, als het een meisje zou zijn zou ik de stippen rood of rose maken.

 I really love the colourful beads. It has such a great result and it's so easy and quick to make. In my last post I showed my colourful beads deer. Well, I made two more and frame them!! Look at the results, isn't it lovely! I'm really over the moon with the result :D. I hope I showed you how trendy and great this is in your interior.

Furthermore this month I made a lovely card for a new born! I used blue dots for the giraffe because it's a boy, you can use, pink or red dots for a girl!

Strijkkralen (hert & kaart)/ Colourful beads (deer & card)

Lezers en lezeressen, mijn eerste blog post van 2013 is weer een feit! Ik ben met een aantal grote haak projecten bezig en daarom schiet het er een beetje bij in om wat kleinere projectjes te doen. Maar gister avond moest ik toch wat creativiteit kwijt en wel met strijkkralen!



Aller eerst dit hert waar die je zowel kan inlijsten of op een schrift o.i.d. kan plakken. Origineel is het volgens mij een ketting, maar daar vind ik hem persoonlijk wat groot voor. Heb je nog meer leuke ideeën wat je er mee kan doen. Laat het me weten!

Dear readers, my first blog post of 2013 is a fact again! I am busy with a few big crochet projects and that's why I have not many time left for other small projects. But yesterday I really had to do something with my creativity, so I made some stuff with colourful Hama beads.

First of all this lovely deer. You can frame it or glue it on a notebook, or something like that. Original it is a necklace I guess, but in my opinion it is quite big for a necklace. If you have other creative ideas what I could do with this deer, let me know!

 En nog een last minute kaartje voor iemand die jarig is, is in een hand omdraai gemaakt en zo geef je een kaart een creatief en persoonlijk tintje.

A little bit of everything

Wat een heerlijke knutsel week was het. Alleen heb ik eigenlijk niet echt nieuwe dingen gemaakt... Oja, één ding, met strijkkralen. Ik had namelijk een grootverpakking gekocht, dus daar moet wat mee gedaan worden natuurlijk! Daarom pimpte ik mijn oordopjes:

It was such a nice craft week. However, I didn't make anything really new. Well actually one thing... Recently I bought a bulk of colourful bead, so I had to do something with it. So I pimped my earpiece:

En maakte ik nog drie schattige fotolijstjes met knoopjes en lintjes zodat je ze gemakkelijk kunt ophangen! Wil je weten hoe je deze schattige lijstjes maakt en hoe je de foto's erachter krijgt. Kijk dan hier bij mijn eerdere posts.

Oja en ik maakte ook nog een hondje... die moet nog in elkaar gezet worden

Lovely necklace of colourful beads

Tijdens de gezellige knutselmiddag met mijn nichtje waren we al helemaal 'into the strijkkralen' en hadden leuke armbandjes gemaakt (link naar de armbandjes). Nu had ik een groot verpakking strijkkralen gekocht dus besloot ik nog een bijpassende ketting te maken. Op deze site (link) vond ik een leuke ketting met strijkkralen en een goede werkbeschrijving! 468 kralen, 40 tie-wraps en twee lintjes verder is dit het resultaat van de ketting!

We (my cousin and me) were already totally 'into the colourful beads' during the nice craftday. We made lovely bracelets (link to the lovely bracelets) and because I bought a bulk colourful beads I decided to make a matching necklace. On this site (link) I found a good description to make this lovely necklace! 468 beads, 40 tie-wraps and two ribbons later is this the result:

Tip! De uiteinden van de tie-wraps kunnen een beetje prikken, vijl daarom de uiteinden een beetje bij.
Hier staat nog een foto hoe de armband en ketting bij elkaar staan.

Hint! The ends of the tie-wraps can tickles in your skin, so file the ends of the tie-wraps!
