Spin juggling balls

You know these specific crocheted juggling balls with split peas in it? I made them myself :). Now I can start practising juggling! I filled the balls with split peas instead of fiber fill. Fiber fill is too soft and light, split peas filling is perfect for adhesion and weight. To create the spin balls I used this pattern for the 'spin' instructions and adjust is a bit to create more juggling kind of balls. I wrote down the total amount of stitches so you can make them yourself!

R0: Chain 2, join the stitches with a slip stitch. This is the foundation of the ring.
R1: 6 sc into the second chain of the hook (6 stitches)
R2: 2 sc in each of the 6 sts of the previous round (12 stitches)
R3: *1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (18 stitches)
R4: *1 sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (24 stitches)
R5: *1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (30 stitches)
R6: *1 sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (36 stitches)
R7: *1 sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (42 stitches)
R8: *1 sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (48 stitches)
R9: *1 sc in next 7 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (54 stitches)
R10: *1 sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (60 stitches)
R11 - R19: 1 sc in each stitch around (60 stitches)
R20: *1 sc in next 8 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (54 stitches)
R21: *1 sc in next 7 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (48 stitches)
R22: *1 sc in next 6 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (42 stitches)
R23: *1 sc in next 5 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (39 stitches)
R24: *1 sc in next 4 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (30 stitches)
R25: *1 sc in next 3 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (24 stitches)
R26: *1 sc in next 2 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (18 stitches)
Fill the ball with about 100 grams of split peas
R27: *1 sc in next st, 2tog* Rep 6 times (12 stitches)
R28: *2tog* Rep 6 times (6 stitches)

Pimp your christmas tree!

How to pimp your Christmas tree with handmade Christmas balls.. DIY!

Afgelopen week heb ik mijn kerstboom verder gepimpt. Ik kocht een paar piepschuim ballen en haakte daar als volgt wat omheen:

Patroon:
R1: 6 vasten in een magic circle
R2: 2 v. in elk van de 6 v. (12 steken)
R3: * 1 v., haak 2 v. in de volgende v.* herh. 6 keer (18 steken)
R4: * 2 v., haak 2 v. in de volgende v.* herh. 6 keer (24 steken)
R5: * 3 v., haak 2 v. in de volgende v.* herh. 6 keer (30 steken)
R6: * 4 v., haak 2 v. in de volgende v.* herh. 6 keer (36 steken)
R7 - R11: 1 v. helemaal rond (36 steken)
R12: * 4 v., haak twee steken samen (minderen)* herh. 6 keer (30 steken)
R13: * 3 v., haak twee steken samen (minderen)* herh. 6 keer (24 steken)
R14: * 2 v., haak twee steken samen (minderen)* herh. 6 keer (18 steken)
R15: * 1 v., haak twee steken samen (minderen)* herh. 6 keer (12 steken)
R16: *haak twee steken samen (minderen)* herh. 6 keer (6 steken)
Afhechten en maak een lus boven aan de bal zodat je hem in de boom kan hangen.

I'll show you how you're able to pimp your Christmas tree. Well, I bought a set of Styrofoam balls and than I just started to crochet as follow:

Pattern:
R1: 6sc into a circle
R2: 2sc in each sts around (12 sts)
R3: *1sc, 2sc into the next st* repeat 6 times (18 sts)
R4: *1sc into the next 2 st, 2sc into the next st* repeat 6 times (24 sts)
R5: *1sc into the next 3 st, 2sc into the next st* repeat 6 times (30 sts)
R6: *1sc into the next 4 st, 2sc into the next st* repeat 6 times (36 sts)
R7 - R11: 1sc in each st around (36 sts)
R12: *1sc into the next 4 st, 2tog* repeat 6 times (30 sts)
R13: *1sc into the next 3 st, 2tog* repeat 6 times (24 sts)
R14: *1sc into the next 2 st, 2tog* repeat 6 times (18 sts)
R15: *1sc into the next st, 2tog* repeat 6 times (12 sts)
R16: *2tog* repeat 6 times (6 sts)

Fasten off and attach a loop to the ball to hang it in the tree.
