ELEPHANT CAR TENSIONER!
OMG isn't it too cute? In the same colors of the baby blanket I made this lovely car tensioner!! I'm in love with it, hihi! I added a rattle bead in each of the elephants, to make it even more fun for the little baby.

Yarn: Philadar Coton 3

Throwback: BEARS!
First bear (displayed in the left upper corner) is the two-legged bear of Lanukas. The yellow bears are based on the pattern of Stip en Haak. The bears in the two lower corners are based on patterns of InArt. And last but not least the rattle bear (in the middle of the right side) is just a product of my own, and I was inspired by lots of pins at Pinterest.
Have a nice weekend!

Cat rattle (link to pattern)
Last week we went on maternity visit. We bought a very cute picture book from Dikkie Dik. And of course I crocheted also a cute present! I always like to match the crochet stuff, by the theme of the book. I found this lovely cat crochet pattern at Stip en Haak. I used Philar Coton yarn 3 in two colors, 70 Melon for the base and 77 Tournesol for the cheeks. this cuddly toy fits perfectly with the picture book!

Bear (pattern available)
Bears, again! It might that bears become my second love after bunnies ;).
They ask me to make something for a baby boy. This bear below was one of the patterns I saved for the right moment, and this was the right moment I think.
Have a nice weekend!

Square coasters (pattern available)
Coasters! It decorates your table instantly. I have seen many coasters at Pinterest, mostly round. Often with flowers, too cosy for me. I was looking for more square coasters, but still cute, and not too girly. When I found this crochet pattern from Mango Tree Crafts, I knew I wanted to make these and use them as coasters.
I crocheted five of them with a 4 mm hook and some Drops Paris yarn. They turned out great.
I bond them together with a nice ribbon and gave these as a present to my cousin, who had a house warming today!
Have a nice weekend!

Bears
This time no bunnies, but bears! Starts also with a B, but that's entirely coincidental.
They ask me to make something for a baby boy. I immediately knew what to make! Pinterest is a good source for inspiration and pattern. I found this big bear earlier that week, but at that moment I knew this was the perfect time to make this. It's cute and tough at the same time.
Have a nice weekend!

Pattern: Finger puppet bunny
I really like bunnies, they are so soft and cute. Full of innocence. I saw some finger puppets at Pinterest and became inspired. I thought let's make a finger puppet bunny. Love the result, and love to share it with you. If you made a finger puppet based on my pattern, share a picture on Facebook with me! I'm really looking forward to your versions of this lovely one.

Tilda
Finally I can show off my Tilda. Actually I made two of her. This one is the birthday present for my mother in law. She is one of my biggest fans and often supports me with lovely fabrics, buttons, beads, and edges. So she really deserved this one. She really likes the sewn version of Tilda, so that's why I decided to make a special crocheted version of Tilda.
Have a nice day!

Spin juggling balls
You know these specific crocheted juggling balls with split peas in it? I made them myself :). Now I can start practising juggling! I filled the balls with split peas instead of fiber fill. Fiber fill is too soft and light, split peas filling is perfect for adhesion and weight. To create the spin balls I used this pattern for the 'spin' instructions and adjust is a bit to create more juggling kind of balls. I wrote down the total amount of stitches so you can make them yourself!
R0: Chain 2, join the stitches with a slip stitch. This is the foundation of the ring.
R1: 6 sc into the second chain of the hook (6 stitches)
R2: 2 sc in each of the 6 sts of the previous round (12 stitches)
R3: *1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (18 stitches)
R4: *1 sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (24 stitches)
R5: *1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (30 stitches)
R6: *1 sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (36 stitches)
R7: *1 sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (42 stitches)
R8: *1 sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (48 stitches)
R9: *1 sc in next 7 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (54 stitches)
R10: *1 sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in next st* Rep 6 times (60 stitches)
R11 - R19: 1 sc in each stitch around (60 stitches)
R20: *1 sc in next 8 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (54 stitches)
R21: *1 sc in next 7 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (48 stitches)
R22: *1 sc in next 6 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (42 stitches)
R23: *1 sc in next 5 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (39 stitches)
R24: *1 sc in next 4 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (30 stitches)
R25: *1 sc in next 3 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (24 stitches)
R26: *1 sc in next 2 sts, 2tog* Rep 6 times (18 stitches)
Fill the ball with about 100 grams of split peas
R27: *1 sc in next st, 2tog* Rep 6 times (12 stitches)
R28: *2tog* Rep 6 times (6 stitches)
Finishing off
Good luck with crocheting and juggling!

Pineapple Cardholder Pattern
Recently I made a bunny cardholder for my public transport card. My sister saw this one and said 'O it's so cute, can you also make a pineapple?' So that's how this idea were established.
I tried to find a stitch which represent the texture of the bottom of the pineapple. This is called the 'berry stitch' in my crochet book. However I couldn't find a great example at the internet of this stitch. But I'll write the instructions down!
Materials:
Phildar yellow and green
Crochet needle: 2,5mm
Pattern:
The YELLOW part.
Start with a chain 39.
R1: 4dc in the sixth ch from the hook, skip the next 2chs, dc in the next ch, *skip the next 2 chs, 4dc in the next ch, skip the next 2 chs, dx in the next ch* repeat between the * until the end.
You're facing the right side of your work now. You could mark this with a short piece of yarn to remember.
In the next row we're going to work with BPdc (back post double crochet). If you're not familiar with this stitch, find out the instructions here.
R2: Ch3 (counts as dc) and turn. 2 dc in the first dc, skip the next dc, and work the BPdc in the next dc, * skip the next dc, 4 dc in the next dc, skip the next dc and work a BPdc* repeat until the last 2 dc, skip the next dc, 3 dc in the last dc.
In the next row we're going to work with FPdc (frontpost double crochet). If you're not familiar with this stitch, find out the instructions here.
R3: Ch3 (counts as dc) and turn. Skip the next 2 dc, 4 dc in the next BPdc, * skip the next dc, work a FPdc, skip the next dc, 4 dc in the next BPdc* repeat until the last 3 dc, skip the next 2 dc, and dc in the last dc.
R4: Ch3 (counts as dc) and turn. 2 dc in the first dc, skip the next dc, work a BPdc, * skip the next dc, 4 dc in the next FPdc, skip the next dc, work a BPdc * repeat until the last 2 dc, skip the next dc, 3 dc in the last dc.
Repeat the row 3 and 4 until you have 13 rows.
Fold the yellow piece of fabric and sew together.
The GREEN part:
- dc in the central stitch of the back part of your cardholder. chain 10, sc in the second ch from the hook, hdc in the next 2 chs, dc in the last six chs.
- dc in the same central stitch. Chain 12, sc in the second ch from the hook, hdc in the next 2 chs, dc in the last 8 chs.
- dc in the same central stitch. Chain 12, sc in the second ch from the hook, hdc in the next 2 chs, dc in the last 8 chs.
- dc in the central stitch of the back part of your cardholder. chain 10, sc in the second ch from the hook, hdc in the next 2 chs, dc in the last six chs.
Finish off.

Hobbes for a newborn!
Aww... isn't it cute?
A few weeks ago, a mommy to be sent me an email. She saw Hobbes I made before at my site and she's expecting a little 'Clavin' this June. The theme of the nursery is 'Calvin and Hobbes', so a Hobbes would really complete this room. I feel honored to make this Hobbes specially for them!
I really loved to make this and I'm really thrilled about the result!
Do you want to make such a lovely Hobbes as well? check out this site!

Rabbit Cardholder
I regularly go to work by public transport. In the Netherlands, you need a special card to be allowed to use public transport. I need my card often quickly, so that's why I store it in my pockets instead of my wallet. I know, pockets are not the safest place to store your card, because the chance it will damage or break is quite high. This card holder will from now on protect my card... and isn't it a cutie?

Happy Poo Emoticon
You know that kind of people who often make use of the poo emoticon in the Whats-app conversations? It's kind of a buzzer word, doesn't really make sense or add something to the conversation. It's kind of noise, but than funny. Because everytime I see it, I start to laugh. Specially for this dear friend, I couldn't resist it, I made this emoticon!
I used this pattern and added the specific 'face' of the emoticon by using felt.
Have a nice day!

Innocent drinks pattern heart
(English below!)
Haaknaald: 3mm
R1: 6 vasten in een magic circle (tutorial magic circle)
R2: 2 v. in elk van de 6 v.(12 steken)
R3: * 1 v., haak 2 v. in de volgende v.* herh. 6 keer (18 steken)
R4: * 2 v., haak 2 v. in de volgende v.* herh. 6 keer (24 steken)
R5: * 3 v., haak 2 v. in de volgende v.* herh. 6 keer (30 steken)

The big knit from Innocent Smoothies is started again, and you may also crochet of course!
Where is this campaign about? Well, it means that you can knit or crochet lovely hats for the Innocent bottles. 25p from every hatted bottle sold will go to Age UK to help older people (read more about the big knit here). Besides that, it’s great to see your own hat in the supermarkets.
Are you from another country? Check out the Innocent website and see if your country joined the big knit as well.
This time especially a hat with lovely little heart for the older people.
This heart is crocheted by using the Tapestry crochet technique. If you are not familiar with this technique, follow this link to explore what tapestry crochet is. After it, come back and follow the pattern!
We start with the basic pattern hat:
Crochet needle: 3mm
R1: chain 6 in a magic circle (tutorial magic circle)
R2: 2sc in every sts around (12sts)
R3: * 1sc, 2sc into the next sts* rep. 6 times (18sts)
R4: * 2sc, 2sc into the next sts* rep. 6 times (24sts)
R5: * 3sc, 2sc into the next sts* rep. 6 times (30sts)
If you finished the heart patterns, you will finish the hat with Row 14: 30dc in each sc around.
Now you are really finished! You could add a pompom if you like...
You will find more Innocent patterns at Patterns
Good luck,
JoyJonne Hooks

Bee
Already a few months ago I bought two little books with crochet patterns of Woolytoons. I was really in the mood for some amigurumi, and one of the lovely patterns in this book was a bee. So I decided to make this one. I was really happy with the result! However to top it all, my nephew came over and said directly: "Hey look, that's Maya the bee!!" I consider that as a huge compliment!
***
If you like to make this bee as well here the link to the pattern, Dutch only!
Have a nice weekend!

Flower pattern
I use this pattern quite often to add a little happiness! It´s such a simple flower, but it always makes me happy. And with sharing this pattern, everybody can add a little colour and happiness into their lives. What would it be great if everybody make a lovely flower and give it to somebody special and with that, we make each other more happy!
I made the flower as follows:
Step 1: 5 single crochet into a magic ring.
Step 2: Into the first stitch add *slip stitch, chain 2, 3 double crochet, chain 2, slip stitch* repeat untill you have five petals.
Leave a long tail to attach the flower.
This pattern is written in US crochet terms:
Single crochet (US) = Double crochet (UK)
Double crochet (US) = Treble crochet (UK)
Bloemetjes patroon
