Throwback: BEARS!

In the last period I made such a lovely bear toys, it would be a shame not to share them!

First bear (displayed in the left upper corner) is the two-legged bear of Lanukas. The yellow bears are based on the pattern of Stip en Haak. The bears in the two lower corners are based on patterns of InArt. And last but not least the rattle bear (in the middle of the right side) is just a product of my own, and I was inspired by lots of pins at Pinterest.

Have a nice weekend!

Nine best of 2016

It's already 2017! I wish you all a very good and creative year! It's time to look back and show my nine best of 2016.
It was a creative year for me, I made lots of great things. Such as the Fox Gunther. The two legged bear and some bunny cuddle cloths based made by my own imagination. A great pink Lion for a little girl. Another lovely little bear in a pink shirt. Some finger puppets, another bear, and last but not least a seahorse rattle.

I hope, you will visit my site in 2017 again with lots of pleasure. I keep trying to inspire you! If you don't want to miss any post, follow me at Facebook!

Seahorse Rattle

Who doesn't love a book about crochet? I have lot's of crochet books, and once in a while I can't resist a flick through some of them. I especially love to flick through them when I'm out of inspiration. Or if I know what kind of thing I want to make, but can't find a great free pattern on the internet. Also this time... For months it was on my whish list to make a seahorse, but couldn't find a great pattern (most of the time I'm too lazy to make one myself). By then it was one of those nights I flicked through some of my crochet books and found this lovely pattern! I decided to make this one for a little newborn girl. I think it turned out very cute, doesn't it?

You can find the pattern in this book (Dutch) from Christel Krukkert
I used Phildar Coton 3 and crochet needle 2.5mm
To turn this lovely stuffed toy into a rattle, I put a rattle bead in the head

Lot's of love

Bears

This time no bunnies, but bears! Starts also with a B, but that's entirely coincidental.
They ask me to make something for a baby boy. I immediately knew what to make! Pinterest is a good source for inspiration and pattern. I found this big bear earlier that week, but at that moment I knew this was the perfect time to make this. It's cute and tough at the same time.

Have a nice weekend!

Lovely Flamingos

I often crochet bunnies, because they look so cute. Another animal I really like, because of its color and shape, is a flamingo! I especially do like the different shades of pink and orange.
In one of my crochet books (Amigurumi & mini's) I found a pattern of these cuties. I could use it as key chain or something, but for the time being, they are decorating my living room.

Kind regards,
JoyJonne Hooks

DIY Bunny ring pattern

It's almost Easter, and I love it because of all the beautiful pastel colours and the cute bunnies, chickens, eggs, etc. Today I really had to crochet something quick, lovely and hilarious and I did! I went on the internet and saw this great picture of Pepika and decided to give it a try... and this is the result.

You'll probably steal the show while wearing this hilarious ring. I wrote the pattern down so you are able to have such a lovely ring as well. (You can also make the ring some bigger and use it as a napkin ring, thanks to one of my Twitter followers for this great idea!)

Hobbes without Calvin

Ontmoet mijn Hobbes!! Hij is geïnspireerd op het stripfiguur, Hobbes and Calvin die je hieronder kan zien.

Meet my Hobbes!! He is inspired on the comic character, Hobbes and Calvin:

Ik had er een tijdje voor nodig om deze schattige tijger helemaal af te maken, maar ik vond het een geweldig project om te maken. Hopelijk heeft de nieuwe eigenaar van Hobbes veel plezier met de knuffel, ik heb het in ieder geval met veel plezier speciaal voor hem gemaakt.

It took me a while to finish this lovely tiger, but it was a great project. I wish the new owner of Hobbes, lots of fun with it! I made it with pleasure for you.

Wil je ook zo'n geweldige Hobbes maken? Volg dan deze link naar het orignele patroon!
